Bourne Morris began writing at Bennington College, where she studied under the late poet laureate Howard Nemerov. After a successful career in advertising, Bourne joined the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno as a professor. She retired in 2009 in order to write fiction. She lives in Nevada with her husband.
