Annual Poetry Month Reading Series: AB Gorham, Barbara March, Arian Katsimbras, and MJ Ubando

For the 20th year, Sundance is pleased to host a series of readings in honor of National Poetry Month. Our featured poets on Thursday, April 11th will be AB Gorham, Barbara March, Arian Katsimbras, and MJ Ubando.

AB Gorham is a book artist and writer, originally hailing from Montana. She holds an MFA in Book Arts (2014) and an MFA in Poetry (2012) from The University of Alabama. She lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband, their two daughters, and two beasts, is the Press Manager at Black Rock Press, and teaches book arts The University of Nevada, Reno.

Barbara Laiolo-March, co-founder and director of the Surprise Valley Writers' Conference, writes from life in the forgotten corner of California. Her work has been selected for national awards and published in international and national poetry journals and anthologies.

Arian Katsimbras has been the recipient of the DQ Poetry Award and the Emily Morrison Prize in Poetry selected by Jamaal May. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Muzzle Magazine, Vinyl Poetry, Waxwing Literary Journal, Taos Journal of International Poetry & Art, Tahoma Literary Review, and anthologized in It Was Written: Poetry Inspired By Hip Hop. He is a graduate of the MFA program at Virginia Tech, teaches English at TMCC, and serves as the assistant poetry editor for The Meadow

MJ Ubando is a Filipina-American, Reno-Native teaching Creative Writing and English at Sparks High School. She recently received her MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis on Literary Nonfiction from Sierra Nevada College and is a member of the coolest Writing Club that no one knows about.
